The Ethics & Personal Development curriculum at Kiski is generally taken during the sophomore year, although it may be taken during the junior year.
Health
The primary goal of this one-semester course is to guide students in making well-informed decisions related to their personal health while developing lifelong positive attitudes and behaviors which contribute to a thriving community. Topics of study include mental, emotional, and social health; injury and disease prevention and safety; nutrition and fitness; the use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other psychoactive drugs; growth, development, and sexual health. Central themes pertain to personal responsibility for lifelong health, respect for and promotion of the health of others, an understanding of the process of growth and development, and critical use of health-related information, products and services.
