Kiski Welcomes Ricardo Morales as New Director of Soccer
Originally from Venezuela, Coach Morales began his soccer journey playing for Maracaibo Leones de Maracaná FC and San Vicente de Paul’s varsity team before moving to Florida, where he joined the Sarasota Select Super Y League program. His passion for the game quickly evolved into a coaching career that began at age 17 and took off soon after.
By 20, Morales had become the youngest head coach in Alachua County history, leading Santa Fe High School to an 8–0 home record. At just 22, he became the youngest coach in Florida to win a District Championship and was named to the Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star staff. He has since coached across multiple states and premier youth leagues including ECNL and DPL, and has led programs in Florida, Connecticut, Wisconsin, and now Pennsylvania.
Beyond the sideline, Morales has worked in academy scouting for Orlando City SC, served as a first team intern with Hartford Athletic, and currently supports Phoenix Rising FC as a league scout and team lead. He has also held leadership roles in player and facilities management at Division I programs including the University of Florida and UCF.
He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Florida, with a specialization in Athlete Development. He also holds a USSF National C License and is currently completing his National B License.
