Kiski at a Glance

Kiski goes beyond boarders
Frequently Asked Questions
What standardized tests are required/recommended?
Kiski does not require standardized testing as part of the application process. We firmly believe a student’s academic achievements, recommendations, personal statements, and interview speak more clearly about their ability to be successful at Kiski.
Students who wish to optionally submit standardized test results (ISEE, SSAT, ACT, PSAT, or SAT) are welcome to do so. Kiski uses tests information both for gauging admissibility and to assess where a student might need advanced programming or other forms of academic support. Students who choose not to submit a standardized test are given equal consideration in the admission process. If you are unclear what is the best choice for you, contact a Kiski admission counselor for a recommendation.
Exception: Students applying for the Andrew Wilson Merit Scholarship are required to submit an SSAT or ISEE score.
Is an interview required? How can I schedule one?
Yes, a campus visit and interview are required. Please contact the Admissions Office for details.
What is the cost of tuition and boarding?
For the 2025-2026 school year, tuition for a Kiski day student is $35,000, and $71,000 for boarding students.
What financial aid options are available, and how do I apply?
At Kiski, we are committed to making our educational experience accessible to families from a wide range of financial backgrounds. If your family is interested in applying for tuition assistance, we encourage you to complete the process through Clarity, our financial aid application platform.
The Clarity application is simple, secure, and designed to give families a streamlined, user-friendly experience. Your financial aid application will be reviewed separately from your admission file, but in parallel, to ensure timely decisions.
We strongly encourage you to complete the Clarity application by our priority deadlines to receive full consideration. Our goal is to partner with you in making a Kiski education possible—and affordable.
If you have any questions about the process or your eligibility, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are happy to help guide you through each step.
What is the school's approach to college counseling and placement?
At Kiski, students get all the support they need to succeed. We work with each student, beginning in their freshman year, to understand their personality, passions, and aspirations. So, by the time college applications come around, we know each student so well that we can help guide them to choose the perfect school where they’ll shine both academically and socially. But the power of the Kiski experience doesn’t end there. The self-assurance and independence students acquire here prepares them to tackle 21st-century challenges and careers.
What is daily life like for boarding students?
Kiski dorm life is an important part of the boarding school experience. You make lifelong friends and learn skills and habits that you will carry with you for the rest of your life. It’s not only about learning to be organized and adopting study skills; we also teach you to be comfortable with who you are. You learn to be yourself and to accept others for who they are. Your dorm is your extended family and a small part of a much larger Kiski community. Make some new friends, learn a few phrases in another language, show off your talents at guitar or singing or frisbee or microwaving mac and cheese. You will treasure your downtime as you get some much-needed sleep on the weekends before you head off to your game or on a weekend trip. Get involved in dorm life and you will have one of the best experiences of your life. Make the most of it!
